The National Cancer Center (NCC) strives to improve national health and welfare by reducing the incidence and mortality
of cancer through research, patient care, education & training, and support for the national cancer control programs.
The above goals are effectively achieved through five actions:
- performing basic and clinical research on cancer;
- providing medical care services for cancer patients;
- offering education and training for health professionals and those engaged in the national cancer control programs;
- assisting the government in formulating and implementing the national cancer control program;
- providing consulting services to other medical institutions specializing in cancer
- Establishment based on National Cancer Center Act on
January 2000 (on the basis of Cancer Control Act after June 2011)
- NCC is a government-funded institution founded on the basis
of the ‘National Cancer Act’ in March 2000.
- NCC is striving to be the World’s best national cancer center in
research, patient care and cancer control policy.
