The National Cancer Center (NCC) strives to improve national health and welfare by reducing the incidence and mortality of cancer through research, patient care, education & training, and support for the national cancer control programs. In order to effectively achieve the above goals, NCC currently functions in the following areas:

  • performing basic and clinical research on cancer;
  • providing medical care services for cancer patients;
  • offering education and training for health professionals and those engaged in the national cancer control programs;
  • assisting the government in formulating and implementing the national cancer control program;
  • providing consulting services to other medical institutions specializing in cancer

Ncc is a government-funded institution founded on the basis of the 'National Cancer Center Act' in March 2000.'
